Returning to my childhood love of fantasy with a queer gaze, this series strives to increase diversity and representation within the fantasy genre. Painted in oil using the indirect method in order to evoke the feeling of classical and timeless art, these paintings depict exclusively trans, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming individuals in order to demonstrate that gender expansive identities have existed throughout history. These paintings celebrate that folks of all genders deserve to feel magical.
